Who we are

The Calma Partnership was formed to respond to the real frustrations expressed by many client organisations. They want cost effective employee support services which not only manage effectively the consequences of people problems in the workplace but can also identify accurately and respond to the underlying causes.

We became a Partnership not only because it reflects how we collaborate with our client organisations but also it enables us to bring in the best range of services to meet the specific needs of organisations.

The Calma Partnership is managed by two Senior Partners, Rick Hughes and Shane Buckeridge. We operate with a bank of specialist practitioners, clinicians, consultants and trainers, a comprehensive network of qualified counsellors and in partnership with the best strategic providers in the industry.

Rick has extensive experience within the UK EAP industry having worked for some of the UK's largest providers on behalf of a wide range of client organisations - from small businesses through to multinationals. His most recently commissioned book An Anthology of Counselling at Work II (2004) featured articles about emotional health in organisations from leading academics and practitioners, including the actor/traveller Michael Palin.

Shane Buckeridge
