Personal debt in the UK has risen to £1,000,000,000 and the average debt for each man, woman and child is around £5,000. The average debt managed by consumer advice centres and public debt clinics is about £21,000.

In recognition of this widespread problem, and the financial and social consequences of debt, Calma have decided not to charge for any debt service, and to make this available free to all who access this website.
